Pollution in the ocean and water streams can lead to poisonous drinking water, unbalanced river and lake ecosystems (that can no longer support full biological diversity), deforestation from acid rain, and many other effects.
Many species of ocean life can also be destroyed by digesting the garbage that gets into the ocean, or that same garbage can end up in our food supply when we eat seafood. Watch the video below, to see what happens to the garbage in the ocean, and the effect it has on the marine life.
